Thing Thing Arena - Thing Thing 2 Review:
Thing Thing Arena has got Thing Thing 2 ready for you if you want to dive in head first straight back into the action after playing Thing Thing or if you just want a good action game to play.
Thing Thing left all of us hanging and trying to figure out the real identity of our character so some may be disappointed that Thing Thing 2 does not say much about the abruptly suspended story in the previous game. However, it sure does make up for the dose of action we are all craving for.
Compared to its predecessor, Thing Thing 2 is more action based. You can now run and punch if your enemies get to close, as long as you have the stamina to do so. Moreover, opponents now drop items randomly when they get killed. These items include the handgun ammo, sub machine gun ammo, magnum ammo, shotgun ammo, and last but certainly not the least, the Derringer. Now, the Derringer is one cute gun you do not want to mess with. Despite its light and small exterior, it packs an explosive shooting power and is the most powerful gun in the game. Given that, you can correctly assume that it also has strong recoil. These new stuffs just made the game more exciting.
Generally speaking, and as it is said in the game itself, Thing Thing 2 is a challenging game. But there is a way to win it. Besides, it is more rewarding to know that you have finished a challenging game. Also, it was not mentioned in the game, but don’t you ever dare to try to kill all the opponents like you did in Thing Thing because you will never finish the game. The opponents just come flooding in endlessly so you just have to move on to the exit. But take note, you cannot just keep on running away. There are barricades that will stop you from doing so and will require you to kill a certain number of enemies.
Other new features of Thing Thing 2 in Thing Thing Arena are the multi-levels and the level evaluation scheme. In Thing Thing, you just play the game continuously but this time around, the game is divided into 7 levels where the 7th level is the boss level. After each level, your performance will be evaluated based on the number of your kills and will be tagged as a pacifist, minimalist, hunter, assassin, sociopath, or death god which is really cool. So don’t be lax on your kills and aim for the death god rating.
Thing Thing 2 is a nice sequel to Thing Thing. Though it does not say much about the story, it packs up loads of action and will probably make sense when you play the next sequel. You can play all the Thing Thing games right here at Thing Thing Arena. Thing Thing Arena is solely dedicated to the Thing Thing games and is the best place where you can play the entire series continuously if we do say so ourselves *cough*. So if you are still dying to know more about the story, don't hesitate, play the next sequel now!
